How to Make Nutritious Sprouted Moong Appum
Veg Sprouted Moon Appam
Moong sprouts are so healthy, full of protein. And there are so many things you can make from it apart from salad. One such recipe is this Appe where have made a fusion with poha, making it one of the most delicious recipes.
- Mixer
- Appam Maker
- 1 Cup Moong Sprouts (Alternatively mix sprouts can be used)
- 1/2 Cup Poha (Soaked in water / alternatively cooked rice can be used)
- 1 Piece Small Ginger Knob
- Green Chillies (As per taste)
- Salt (As per taste)
- Water (As required)
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
- Veggies (Finely chopped (Onion, Carrot, Corriander))
- 1 tsp Fruit Salt (Ex: Eno)
- tbsp Oil

In a mixer jar, take 1 cup Moong Sprouts

Add 1/2 cup soaked Poha

Add a small chopped Ginger Knob

Add Green Chillies (as per taste)

Add Salt as per taste

Add a little Water and grind to a thick batter (as dosa consistency)

Transfer the batter in a mixing bowl

Add 1 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)

Add finely chopped Onion, Carrot & Coriander

Add 1 tsp Fruit Salt (Eno)

Mix everything well

Let's quickly start making appum

Heat appum pan, pour very little Oil in all cavities

Add batter in each cavity

Cover the lid and let it cook

Flip appum and cook until it's golden-brown

Let it nicely cook from both the sides
